Unfortunately it started raining and never quit so we cut the trip short. We would have loved to explore the lake more.

We camped at one of the walk/hike in site. The enormous site made up for the multiple trips to and from our vehicle. There was even a very small but worn path to the back side of the lake.

Nice little park, quiet, easy access off I-35, our site was big and level. We rented a row boat to check out the lake, but it was in tough shape, oar locks were completely worn out so rowing it was difficult, but we managed since the lake is small. We will go back sometime.

Pretty basic state park. Camping sites are wooded and fairly private. There's a small beach and boat launch area. Trails were pretty wet and muddy in early spring. The park is pretty with lots of pine forest but there aren't many hiking trails. Agate museum was closed when we visited so I can't speak to that. It was a nice camping experience and fine for a weekend, but I wouldn't stay longer than that.

My family and i camped here last week. We enjoyed everything they had to offer. The trails were short but it was an enjoyable walk for my 5 and 3 yr old. We really liked how privet the camp sites are and how nice the beach was. The boys really liked the agets in the museum and all of the wild life we seen around. We already have reservations to go back in a few weeks.

The Agate and Geological Center was very interesting. We had lots of fun learning about the geological history of our state.

Pretty state park with very well maintained hiking trails. Semi-private campground. Conveniently located very close to I-35, the bummer part is that you can hear the traffic everywhere in the park.
